Attend a District event! Our club is part of GFWC Florida District 4. There are 16 clubs in the district with a variety of activities. Take a look at the list of events and contact each club directly to participate.
Attend a Chamber Event! OPWC is a member of the Clay Chamber of Commerce. Take a look at their calendar then contact our Communications & PR Chairman to register for a Chamber event.
Rummage Sale Workday
Help load up and move items from the clubhouse to the storage building (located on HWY 17 between Fleming Island and Green Cove).
House & Grounds Meeting
This meeting will focus on our final plans for the sign, roof, and grounds improvement. We will also discuss the application for a historical marker and way-finding sign.
Villages of Hope Afternoon Tea
Enjoy a classic tea service while learning about Villages of Hope and their mission of walking beside survivors reclaiming their lives.

Visit Augusta Savage Museum and Mentoring Center in GCS
Join the Arts & Culture CSP to tour the Augusta Savage Museum and Mentoring Center in Green Cove Springs. We will meet at the OPWC clubhouse at 10 AM to carpool. If you wish to drive separately, the museum is located at 1107 Martin Luther King Jr. Blvd. We will tour the museum at 11 AM and plan to have lunch in GCS following the tour.

General Meeting
April is our Annual Meeting, for the purpose of elections. During this meeting, we will recognize our past presidents and celebrate our club’s 116th Birthday along with GFWC’s Federation Day (April 24th).
For those who desire extra time to socialize and dine together, lunch (meatloaf, potatoes, veggies, and salad) will be catered by Davoli’s Restaurant. Cost is $20/person to be paid at the door.
This is a closed meeting, and Guests are asked to attend any other activity during the month!

Members, please attend this meeting to vote on the newly proposed bylaws revision. An email was sent on March 17th to all members with a link to the proposed bylaws document. Please use this link to access the document.
Additional meetings have been set up on March 30th to allow members to come and ask questions regarding the proposed bylaws. Two open Q&A sessions will be held at the clubhouse March 30th, at 10:00 am and 5:30 pm.
Voting will take place on March 31st at 5:30 pm.

We’ve made it to Gala Day! We invite you to join our Gala Committee as we decorate the Ballroom at The Hilltop Restaurant.
Please come dressed in comfortable work clothes and sneakers, as we will be setting up the ballroom décor and organizing the Silent Auction items for display.
Final Gala Planning Meeting
We invite you to join our Gala Committee Planning Meeting as we continue preparations for the Annual Gala. We will meet at The Hilltop Restaurant.
This will be our final meeting before the Gala on March 13th.
During this meeting, we will review all last-minute items, walk through the event timeline, and address any remaining questions regarding OPWC’s signature fundraiser.

District 4 Meeting
GFWC Florida District 4’s Meeting is being hosted by the Woman’s Club of Palatka. This meeting will showcase the District level Arts & Crafts Contest. First place winners will move on to the state contest.
Doors open at 9:30 am with refreshments. The business meeting typically starts around 10:00 am and ends by 1:00 pm.
The cost is $20.00 and includes lunch. Menu: Baked Ziti, Salad, and Dessert

The Arts & Culture CSP will be hosting the February General Meeting featuring the Annual Arts & Crafts Contest. In addition to viewing the creative works of our members, we will learn from Henrietta Frances about the famed sculptor Augusta Savage. Recognizing the work of this amazing lady originally from Green Cove Springs is a fitting tribute to Black History Month!
A special limited auction of select patriotic pieces will enable OPWC to offer a contribution to the GFWC FL State President’s Project - Flight of Honor. This special trip to Washington,DC will occur in March taking GFWC veterans to view the nation’s memorials in appreciation for their service to the USA.
For those who desire extra time to socialize and dine together, lunch will be catered by Davoli’s Restaurant and features a caesar salad, focaccia bread, Lasagna and Meatballs, oven roasted vegetables and cannoli for dessert. Cost is $20/person to be paid at the door.
