Cherokee Rose ESO Book Club
The next meeting of the Cherokee Rose ESO Book Club will be Friday, September 11, 2026 at 11:00 AM in Miss Lucy’s Parlor with lunch TBD.
We will be discussing Hidden Figures by Margot Lee Shetterly in conjunction with the Challenge Read of the Clay County Library book clubs.
It is the story of the African American women mathematicians that helped to launch our county’s space program.

Join the Orange Park Woman’s Club for a fun, instructor-led painting class where you’ll create a beautiful canvas masterpiece with easy, step-by-step guidance. Whether you’re a beginner or have painting experience, this class is designed for all skill levels.
Enjoy a relaxed evening of creativity, conversation, and community as you paint, laugh, and connect with friends—old and new. All painting supplies are included, so simply bring your enthusiasm and get ready for an inspiring experience.
There is a $20.00 fee for this event to reimburse the instructor for your canvas, paints and paint brushes.
Open to members and the community. No experience necessary.

2026 GFWC International Day of Service
The General Federation of Women’s Clubs (GFWC) is united in its dedication to volunteer community service. For the third consecutive year, the 2026 GFWC International Day of Service (GFWC IDS), formerly the GFWC National Day of Service, is scheduled on Saturday, September 26, to help end domestic and sexual violence across the United States and internationally.
According to the World Health Organization, it is estimated that between 736 million to 862 million women, aged 15 years or older, have experienced domestic and/or sexual violence. Within the United States, based on research conducted by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, more than 16 million people are affected every year.
