Divas at Dinner
This month’s dinner gathering will be at La Nopalera’s on Kingsley Ave. - It’s Taco Tuesday!
This meeting provides an opportunity for our members to gather, meet, and mingle, and to learn about projects and programs at the club. All members and guests are welcome to attend.

Jax QuiltFest Outing
If you enjoy quilting or just looking at beautiful quilts, the Arts & Culture Committee invites you to join us in attending the Jacksonville QuiltFest 2025 at the Prime Osborn Convention Center on September 20th. Tickets are $15 Adults and $14 Seniors and can be purchased at the event (cash or credit card is recommended). If you wish to carpool, text or call Vicki McComb 904-304-4155. Health Talk Panel
Hosted by the Health & Wellness Community Service Program.
Join us for an engaging and educational health forum featuring a panel of local professionals who will share insights and resources to support aging adults and their caregivers. Topics will include dementia awareness, caregiver support, fall prevention, and Medicare’s new GUIDE program for individuals living with dementia.

Arts & Culture Meeting
The Arts & Culture CSP will meet in Charlotte Weaver Hall (CWH) to continue planning projects and activities for the 2025-2026 club year. All are welcome!

Halloween Centerpiece Craft Class
Roxie Lewis will be teaching attendees how to create a lovely Halloween-themed centerpiece. Class is limited to 12. Cost is $15 each to offset cost of materials provided by Roxie. Contact Roxie at 904-525-4501 if you wish to sign up for the class. Deadline to enroll is October 2nd at the OPWC General Meeting.
District 4 Annual Meeting
GFWC Florida District 4’s Annual Meeting is being hosted by the Orange Park Woman’s Club (at Grace Episcopal Church - Benedict Hall). Parking is available along Kingsley Avenue or at the corner of Kingsley and Reed.
Register in advance ASAP. The cost is $20.00 and includes lunch from Metro Diner.
Doors open at 9:30 am with refreshments. The business meeting typically starts around 10:00 am and ends between 1:00 and 2:00 pm.

Arts & Crafts Fair
CHILDREN FROM ELEMENTARY, JR. HIGH,AND HIGH SCHOOL STUDENTS WILL HONOR US WITH THEIR ART WORK, PROJECTS, AND SHORT SKITS.
THERE WILL BE STUDENT DANCERS AND SINGERS.
ORANGE PARK WOMANS CLUB WILL HAVE READERS TO READ TO YOUNG CHILDREN.
ARTISTS, CRAFTERS, AND SMALL BUSINESSES WILL BE SET UP INSIDE AND OUTSIDE TO SELL THEIR WARES.
WE WILL HAVE A BAKERY SELLING GOODIES, BOTTLED WATER, AND CANNED SOFT DRINKS
Bring your own items to sell! Crafters and Small Businesses welcome. All booth participants must bring their own table, chair, etc. and be set up by 9:30 am on Saturday, November 15th. Booth sizes are 8x6 inside & 8x10 outside. Bring your own tent for outdoor booths.

Town Meeting - End Domestic & Sexual Violence
The Town Meeting is hosted by three local Woman’s Clubs to raise awareness and prevention of Domestic & Sexual Violence, as part of the worldwide GFWC International Day of Service.
Please bring a handbag, filled with full size hair and hygiene products, along with other useful items, such as note pad, pen, pocket calendar, nail care, socks, etc. These handbags will be donated to Hopefull Handbags. MAKE A DONATION.

Monthly General Meeting
This meeting will include a special presentation from Bob Scallon, from Orange Park History Tours. He will share history about our Club. Doors open at 9:30 am with a hefty Brunch hosted by the Board. The business meeting will start around 10:00 and end by Noon. After the meeting, grab a friend (or two or three) and head out to your favorite lunch spot.

The new membership chairman, Sandra Gardner, is hosting a New Members Sundae on…you guessed it, Sunday! Some of our Governing Board members will be there to meet & greet our new members, and we look forward to learning more about our history from long-time members.

“Eleanor Oliphant is Completely Fine” by Gail Honeyman will be discussed at the July meeting. The book is described as “wacky, charming, hilarious and moving”. If you would like a copy of the book to read, contact Jane Chafin at 904/264-9716. Should be a good summer’s read.
